There recently was some feature that made me switch from k9 to Thunderbird. Gmail support maybe? I can’t remember. But the differences definitely aren’t purely cosmetic.
Gmail support was introduced to K-9 mail as one of the first features after Thunderbird took over ☝🏻
I’ve been using GMail in K-9 Mail for years. Maybe you’re thinking of OAUTH 2 support?
