The width looks good; the height looks really stretched near the equator.
I like the tear apart ones better myself, with the cutouts at top and bottom, for a whole earth perspective.

The answer seems pretty obvious to me — holds true for arachnids and bugs too — they rely on pneumatics, which would be difficult if you always lived under water.
Many insects can survive just fine under water, but eventually they’ll need air.

So… Gulf of America to the south and Lake America to the north?
I wholly expect both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans to be renamed “the Great American Ocean” next.

The goal here is to provide a common framework and language to use to discuss the issue. Currently, it’s all filtered to the public through the media, who not only warp and distort the message, but also bring multitudinous frames of reference and self-defined terms to bear on the issue.
The result is that many of us who do know where things are at feel powerless and depressed about it. But with a critical mass of people experiencing the same information framed in a very specific way, the public will actually be able to talk and discuss climate change in an actionable manner.
I hope it works.

This is the key bit:
Apple held early talks with CXMT, which is China’s largest chipmaker by market value, about supplying components with the goal of using them in some devices sold in China, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

But Danielle Smith was elected by Albertans.
The fires are predominantly in other provinces, this one being in central BC. A province Alberta has wanted to exploit without regard to its environment for years.
The sad thing here is that these wildfires may result in the current NDP government being replaced by a BC Conservative government in the next election cycle, making everything exponentially worse.

So… recently Russia captured a bunch of Ukrainian drones and is reported to be using them in false flag operations. So that was my first thought.
But realistically, Russia is using those drones in places like Poland and Finland. This looks more like a drone interception over civilian airspace.

What about them? Are they the same as nazis?
And what’s your take on socialism? Capitalism? Fascism?

Yes. When is Russia going to deal with their domestic nazi problem instead of blaming Ukraine?

Took my Chevy to the levy but it was too high to buy, So there’ll be no more drinking whiskey and rye….

Is this talking migrant workers fleeing persecution, or undocumented immigrants being deported by the government? The article seems to suggest both, moving between one and the other in the same sentence.

“If you don’t clean up this mess I caused, I’ll hit my kids every time you try and help them!”
I suppose the tariffs will cause some decrease in Canadian exports to the US, resulting in some economic suffering, but as we find other markets, the US tariffs will become increasingly irrelevant to everyone but Americans.

Wait. Wildfires are acts of God. Is Trump saying he’s against God blanketing the US?

Stop raising the global temperature causing our home to burn and we’ll stop sending the ashes of our nation to inconvenience you.

But it means something to her grandchildren, as per the article.

Didn’t Trump say that he was in charge?

Car manufacturers make their money on replacement parts.

Why does this put me in mind of the Beverly Hillbillies?
One of the pools has oil coming out of it because the area slipped and the faults are a bit more open, it is coming out along the fault.

I like how this FIFA quote can be taken one of two ways:
Fans of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome at matches and events.
OK; Iran is playing a clean “attack military targets“ game and the US responds with terrorist tactics.
Who’s supposed to be the good guy here?
