Wash the bands with warm soapy water, and you can try using alcohol to remove the oils on your legs to see if that helps. You can use thin plastic (I just save the bag I get them in) to keep the bands apart and free of lint while stored. It could also be that they are simply too wide to stay on you, and this is what I’d bet is happening to you. They stretch a little while warm from body heat, and if it’s too wide there’s very little room to stretch before falling off. Generalized women’s sizes drive me nuts, a large in that brand would fit me at 5’3 and I highly doubt you and I share a thigh size. So my recommendation is that you try a brand for tall women, or at least find one that advertises a thigh measurement.

I think that you should talk to your doctor about your concerns. My doctor prescribed a UVB light that I use for a short period every day and it seems to be helping quite a lot with my muscle pain and vitamin D levels

I was raised Catholic, and I asked my mother once why we never saw women as deacons or priests. I was told that women should not be permitted to teach (scripture). There’s a few verses about that in the new testament, in Timothy specifically if I recall correctly.

They do not contradict each other. I’m certain there will be more stops as the city grows, because they keep improving it. I used to live in a city, in another state, with one of the best public transportation systems in the country, and they also kept improving that system to include the surrounding cities in other counties. Man, I never used fast food, or drive throughs as much as I have since I developed a mobility disorder. Last week I put a pickup order in at my local coffee shop out of habit, and couldn’t carry both my coffee and the breakfast sandwich to my car at the same time. Which sounds so stupid, but it took so much extra energy for both trips into the store that I was ready to go home and call it a day after that lol

The best hugging pillow I ever had was a ridiculously large plushie, because the fill density was different. I met two people with my dead name and a third who used the nickname I used to (think Christina/Tina) all in the same job. I thought it would be weird, but I realized that I never identified with those names, I just used them because it was expected.

She is unfortunately having other medical problems. The steroid either isn’t working anymore or she forgets that she isn’t in pain/expects certain touches to be painful, I’m not sure which.

This cat has my whole heart. Like if soul mates could be pets, she’s mine.

I think about my grandfather often since my little Ami has shown the same symptoms he had. I’ve always been so grateful that by the time the end came for him, it was quick, and I know that’s what he would have wanted. Perhaps that’s the view I need to keep for her

I had a cat with dementia when I was a kid, she didn’t make it past 7 years old. Now I have a 16yo cat who is starting to show the same signs. Today she nearly ran out of the house when I got home, and didn’t seem to recognize me. It’s rough.

She’s curled up next to me rn, but I’m still thinking those hard thoughts like when do I make the choice to put her to sleep? I’m not ready for that, maybe never will be, but she’s always been a very frightened cat and she doesn’t deserve to feel more frightened because of dementia.
