Summary

China strongly objected to the US’s approval of $571.3 million in military aid to Taiwan, warning the US it is “playing with fire.”

Beijing condemned the move as a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to peace in the Taiwan Strait, urging Washington to cease arming Taiwan.

This aid, which includes Defense Department services and military training, follows a $567 million package authorized three months earlier.

Taiwan, which China claims as its territory, remains a central point of US-China tensions.

Are they afraid Taiwan is gonna invade with that 571 million?

Otherwise it just means you were gonna start some shit up that nobody wants and now you object, because it’s harder for you to start that shit up.
