No not really, I have rudimentary knowledge of notes. Could AI help me here? If I hum or sing the tune (The dramatic storyline is partially finished),could an AI engine turn it into a Partitur for each instrument?

Amazing. Wants to write an opera, has no idea how written music works (but has knowledge of notes, thank god), and then wants to use AI to bridge the gap instead of learning a fucking thing.

Weren’t you in another thread claiming to be a musicologist with 45+ years experience? And yet you can’t read or write music without AI?

Most instances of Lemmy have a very low opinion of AI. You aren’t going to find AI recommendations here.

Also, regarding music, a lot of music theory is used in the writing of opera and musicals. AI could write music for you, but you wouldn’t be able to critique the output to make a decent opera. People educated in music would be able to tell what is missing/wrong and people without this education would still likely be and to tell that doesn’t hit.

I don’t want to dwell too much on the AI bit (although AI is making great strides), because it quickly gets people “on the fence”. I mean, the creative part part is mine, and the melody too; tatata dum-di-dum taraaaaah! But I don’t want to give too much away.
