Why? I’m using Firefox browser on a Win11 Desktop. Do I need to remove the Reddit cookie from Firefox?

Try deleting your account. This has fixed the issue for people in the past.
Have you tried wiping your posts, deleting your reddit account, and never looking back?
I haven’t yet, but damn, I’m close to it with them shitting on old.reddit
Is your account new or low karma?
I have the account for more than 2 years with 218 karma if that matters. I usually am able to post comment replies successively but not anymore. I deleted my other account with lots of karmas because of this issue on replies/comments/posts.
I think the most likely causes that spamming is associated with your IP or another IP that is on the same network. The cleanest way to avoid Reddit IP based limits is to use a cell phone data connection
Thanks. I am using VPN on my WiFi network. I’ll try using my iPhone with cellular connection only.
That message means Reddit thinks you’re sending too many web requests too fast to their servers, so they’re slowing you down a bit with a short timeout. Deleting cookies won’t help with that.
Do you maybe have any addons in Firefox, or userscripts, which might be accessing Reddit’s API? Maybe they’re broken and just spamming. Because I don’t see how normal browser usage could trigger this. Unless Shreddit is really THAT badly designed. It’s a shame I can’t recommend Old Reddit anymore, now that they killed access to it for anyone not already using it.
This is also likely to happen if they’re using a VPN, since all requests from anyone else using the same VPN server will appear to be coming from the same IP address.
Alternatively, @uten151@thelemmy.club could have a Smart TV with one of the many apps installed that sets up a residential proxy so that other users/bots can use their IP address to appear to be legitimate traffic.
I am using VPN. That’s probably causing my issue. Thanks.
Have you tried waiting 5 minutes and trying again?
Preposetrous!
This is the universe letting you know you spend to much time on reddit and that you should step back and away
This is not a reddit support forum lol
