They aren’t. Kuwait is the only oil-producing country that has no other export methods than through the strait of homuz. Even Irak has a pipeline through Turkey.

There is still usenet

My first mp3 player (this was around 2002-ish) was power by an AA-batrery. The next year a model came on the market that was powered by an integrated, rechargable battery. I immediately bought that model, realizing it would instantly be worth the investment, because I would never need another AA-battery again.
Somehow the people in charge still haven’t realized what 12 year old me was able to realize all those years ago.

Connect. It felt most like RIF, so I stuck with it

Can’t possibly make much of a difference when full carton can allready buy you a small family car.

The data breaches just keep on coming these days
What don’t you know?
Yes that is a correct comparison. I’m keeping up with my ex after the breakup
Lol yeah, they removed that. It’s ridiculous
At least it didn’t use so many emojis. I think thats mostly a chatgpt thing.
I’m pretty much in the same boat. But I do lurk on Reddit sometimes when I’m looking to doomscroll, but I often find that the ads and bots prevent me from enjoying the doomscroll mindlessness.
I thought it’d be funny to share this post, because it looks like some people are becoming fed up with reddit for all the reasons that have been glaringly obvious for years now. Eventhough this is likely a bot post. Which might make it even funnier.

I’m not sure about the technicallities, but yes, that’s my experience. Yesterday I had someone delete a post while I was commenting on it and when I pressed send, it gave an error. I could still see the post, because I had it loaded in my app, but when I went to look at the poster, they didn’t have it in their history anymore. I could still navigate back to the post then, but now I can’t find it anymore.

Probably the auther changed their mind. Maybe because they thought it wasn’t a good question after all. Maybe they didn’t like the comments. You’d have to ask the author, if you still have the post loaded somewhere.

I’ve fallen for it a few times when I was younger, but nowadays I just refuse all free stuff. Not all things are so malicious, but I can’t be bothered to be on my guard all the time. Like I often get offered free stuff at the train station. It’s usually just some unmotivated student who’s standing there because they’re getting paid. I’m sure it’s actually just a plain, free sample, but I can’t be arsed anymore.

Government are digital illiterates. Every single one of them. They see no harm in selling it all to the US. And thyley will. But there are other voices who have slowly started to spread influence and gain traction in the MAGA-era. Change is always slow, but things are happening.
The former government of The Netherlands allowed the hosting of crucial infrastructure to be sold to the US. It cannot be stopped now, apparently, but its starting to look like essential features will be pulled from the deal, before that happens.
