News is about something that happened, or about a person doing noteworthy things… not “here’s a person married to a person.” While I agree that not everything that happens in the US is World News, this is just describing a person who is related to a person who has done things that make the news.
I would say the same thing about “meet Greta Thornberg’s new boyfriend,” or “Elon Musk’s son no longer talks to him.” If you want to rage about too many US-centric news stories being posted in World News, that’s fine. But leave celebrity gossip out of here.
