      Depends on who you ask.

If you ask the boss? No.

If you ask the employee? Yes.

I wonder why that discrepancy exists…

The blame is on the customer for supporting exploitative businesses with their money, doubly so if they also don’t tip.

This of course doesn’t absolve the boss, but fact of the matter is he doesn’t care if the worker gets tipped, he gets his when you pay the menu price, and if you don’t tip fuck the both of you, if you do then fuck my boss but you’re cool.

It’s like supporting Amazon monetarily and also railing against their unfair treatment of workers, either stop buying from Amazon or you don’t actually care.

Turns out since there’s more than one person involved you may get a different answer from each depending on perspective.

Two people are standing at opposite ends of a shape, one says it is a 6, the other says it is a 9.

It’s an objective question so anyone offering opinion is automatically disqualified

            Just be honest about it

I get how people feel about it

But I want to get this discussion done with

We are Europoors, everywhere Americans voice an opinion. Then why expect us all to adhere to cultural standards as guests during an event for a sport you all claim not to watch anyway.

            The answer is obvious.

It is not at all obligatory.

            So why whine about it?

Oh and Americans aren’t supposed to learn how to act when they visit wherever you’re from? You’re absolutely fine with Americans being loud or whatever, no Euros ever whine about how Americans act? Give me a break, we learned it from watching you lol. (Side note, like that streamer that recently went to SK and did his dumb prank youtube videos but they don’t play that shit so he got his ass kicked and put in jail, he deserved it, I laughed at him.) Why do we get called out for not learning your culture but you can’t here?

Actually I’ve repeatedly used it as an example in this thread, if I go to Japan it is my responsibility to learn and abide by their custom where tipping is an insult, I shouldn’t force it just because “that’s my culture back home,” I should respect the culture I’m visiting. Same but opposite here.

“For a sport you claim not to watch” y’know what good point, IDGAF about association football, and you’re gonna come in here, make my restaurant busy and my boss a lot of money running me ragged all night AND not tip me? I’m gonna hate you more.

Why whine about not being able to afford rent this month because a bunch of selfish dickheads took all the tables that could have actually made me money instead of making me work for free? Gee idk why would anyone whine about it, homelessness is just like camping anyway, it’s fun really. (Can you feel the sarcasm radiating through your screen?)

How overdrawn and pedantic to claim the cause of homelessness will be a missed tip

What about oil prices, who’s costing who money here

Who is costing who thousands with no blaim towards the people because “gubment”. Y’all voted for this.

edit: that sentence was a bit… It’s fixed now.

I think none of it is malicious intent from the football fans. Some of it will be spite. Well fucking deserved.

I mean, a whole festival of non tippers filling up my restaurant for god knows how long taking up all the space for would-be tippers? Yeah.

“How overdrawn and pedantic to claim the parking lot will be a mess because of one unreturned cart” “how overdrawn and pedantic to think Yellowstone will be hurt by me taking just one thing” if everyone thought like you and all of it piles up, yes. It’s cumulative, but you play your part.

Oil prices? Oil companies. Not your server at fucking Denny’s. Not even your average American tourist. Oil prices are your culture? Where do you live Qatar?

Who is costing thousands to budget over here with no blaim

Either this needs context or there’s a translation error, sorry, no clue what you’re referencing. Whatever it is probably also isn’t your server at Denny’s or your average tourist, either, though.

Malice or stupidity, it matters not, your server at Denny’s didn’t do shit to you but bring you pancakes, go spite yourself.

I fixed that one sentence, you are correct that was a bit… Vague. I got upset.

My point remains, it is absolutely American to claim not tipping to be immoral.

I would like to point out that it is immoral to blame guests to your country for following laws. Fix your stupid hellhole of a country don’t blame us for stiffing you on a tip.

These people are spending thousands upon thousands, and will probably have a little bit of spite especially in Texas. Because you know what? Fuck you all right back. America number 1, Europoors no good.
