      But the Romans didn’t have a stranglehold on a superpower country through religious cult fanatics. I don’t think. Honestly actually wouldn’t be surprised.

        It’s more that they didn’t have the ability to destroy cities with a single bomb dropped from the upper atmosphere by a stealth bomber as a constant threat to anyone in the world who disagreed with Rome.

        I think they’re being so aggressive right now because they know their hold on both US parties is on a timer.

          And the orange war will make more people question their energy security, advancing that timer. The middle east becomes less important as the oil becomes less important. The gulf states know that which is why they are trying to diversify. They hitched their wagons to the USA for security but the USA just fucked them with making their safety and security doubtful for the foreseeable future, undermining any attempts for tourism, ai data centres, travel hubs etc.

          Trump has basically burned all bridges in all parts of the world, for no appreciable gain.
