Reddit’s AI ID age verification might affect the whole website. Reddit CEO Steve Huffman recently said that he is considering having “face ID” to ensure humanity to combat AI bots on the platform.       Peter Thiel and Sam Altman were some of the earliest investors in reddit (2014 funding round). Alexis Ohanian shared board seats at Y Combiner with those guys. Of course they’re together.

      Honestly like 80% the enshittification we’re seeing can be traced back directly back to late stage Y Combinator and Sequoia Capital decisions.

      Yeah I admit the thought crossed my mind that providing some sort of verification would fix a lot of crap on the internet but I sure as fuck don’t trust Huffie or anyone sympathetic to this administration to have good intentions.
