I actually want to watch Superman now, and I will 100% assume this genocidal US ally is a stand-in for Israel and appreciate it all the more for it, because the shoe certainly fits.
I didn’t catch on to the allegories in the film until after I finished watching it. I can, however, attest that it really is a great film. It’s funny when it wants to be, tells a story I found interesting, and really feels like a comic book in some of the best ways.
Fuck Superman. The US just as complicit and don’t tell me this movie is some rebellious act. This is a major corporation co-opting a message to move units.
