

While I love pedantry, and find interest in the confusion and irritation using “American” to mean “U.S. Citizen” can cause; in this case, using American is fine for either definition (“U.S. Citizen” or “Person who lives in the American continent(s)”). Either way, the comment is correct and has similar meaning. :D
I didn’t catch on to the allegories in the film until after I finished watching it. I can, however, attest that it really is a great film. It’s funny when it wants to be, tells a story I found interesting, and really feels like a comic book in some of the best ways.
