The golden age of video games was between when I was 13 and 21 years old. I was old enough to make spare cash to buy my own games and young enough to have spare time and energy to play them. Also my fast twitch reflexes were still good then so I could easily do a platformer or FPS. And this is true for everyone no matter when they were born.

This is actually an interesting question that depends a lot on a human perspective and what you define as ‘Generally Blue’ and what’s else is in the container.
I personally would define generally blue as when you have two colours, say red and blue M&Ms, and you reach in the container to pull out 3 you have a 50/50 chance of pulling out three blues. This definition would require that you have 79.58% blue M&Ms in your container.
Honestly this sounds like a bit high to me but probably can be a real bitch, and the test sounds secure to me. Physiological I think 2/3 blue 1/3 red would have most people say it’s generally blue and the ratio would go down as you add other colours. I think 1/2 blue and 1/2 a mix of 4 or more colours people would still say it’s generally blue.

I love this. There is literally nothing in the world better than listening to someone talk about something they are passionate about. You are an awesome person on the lemmings and hope you don’t mind that I’ve tagged you as “Fucking loves Clowns in a good way”. And honestly it’s never too late to chase you passion. You should look around for some clowning classes near you.

I’ve been using a linux box auto-starting Kodi which is controlled by an MCE remote for about 10-15 years now. Both my partner (who is tech negative, seriously everyday they yell at their work laptop) and 5 year old kid at the time had no trouble with it. I personally love it. With the add-ons and such I’ve basically turned it in to a Home Entertainment Center. I’ve download Lutris and with a little tweaking I’m emulating a ton of old games and I’ve installed the Kodi add-on that lets me integrate Lutris to I don’t have to leave the Kodi environment and bale to desktop is which is great. I’ve also got an add on in Kodi to open Steam in big picture straight from a button on my Kodi favorites. So I can go from playing Slay the Spire on Steam to watch an episode of Scrubs to playing Mario Kart Double Dash in Dolphin, all with out seeing the desktop.
On the other hand I haven’t invested in one of those fancy remotes that lets me power on the PC so before I sit down I got turn on the PC which means the PC sits on a shelf in the living room. But to be honest we often leave it on for days on end, which I suspect racks up the power bills a bit, but lets me just turn on the TV and go. I also haven’t invested in a HDMI - CEC set up so I have to have two remotes one for powering on the TV and a second for everything else. And getting Linux to recognize my 3.1 soundbar is a forking nightmare it still only see it as a stereo soundbar but hey it still sound good.
Over all I really love the Kodi HTPC set up for the heft of added home gaming stuff,but if you’re looking for something more low profile I have a Raspberry PI running OpenElec stuck to the back of my bedroom TV with double-sided tape. OpenElec is a branch of the Kodi main steam for small PCs. The bonus on this is that the Pi’s have built in CEC so you will only need the one remote.

Don’t worry to much I’m sure he’ll be able to apply for refugee status in the USA.

Honestly? My real conspiracy theory is that the the fappening wasn’t an Apple iCloud leak, it was a NSA leak.
In 2014 a whole bunch of celebrities nude photos got put up anonymously on 4chn and reddit. The FBI ended up blaming a guy from Cleveland. But during the same time the NSA was operating under a 6 hop rule for sweeping cell phones and operators at Langley were notorious for copying off photos from random cellphones that they could access too.
The 6 hops rule let the NSA guys get a secret warrant to remotely search a phone if someone is a contact of a contact of a contact of a contact of a contact of a contact who’s a suspected terrorist. That is a hell of a lot of people and I’m sure a lot of celebrities.
So I’m sure the guys at the NSA were collecting and then trading various celebrities nude photos, and one of them was stupid enough to start posting them for clout on 4chn. I believe that they were disciplined and that put a stop to it but they had to find someone to take the heat and they got Apple to do that.

If you’re looking for the biggest change in our timeline for the littlest work I’d give a hindu-arabic numerals to early Greek mathematicians. Watching those guys try to wrap their heads around zero, that would fuck Pythagoras.

My dream IP? Something based on Brubaker and Rucka’s Gotham Central. A gritty police thriller set on the streets of Batman’s home town. No super powers no special gadgets just ordinary cops dealing with the crazies. It was an amazing comic book series and I’d love to see it as a TV production. Live action or animated.

Ok here’s what I do … but be aware that I’ve had this same set for about 10 years so I’m sure everyone will bag on it but it works. On my main HTPC (the living room 60" screen) I have run Ubuntu as the background OS and auto open Kodi with the Confluence skin. I’ve added a few add on’s for streaming and an add on that spans a Steam instance in Big Picture for my steam games and an add on for Lutris for other games. Lutris takes a bit of fiddling with to get it to run your games (a lot of set up scripts and downloading runners for emulators, but nothing to bad). I added a MCE remote and a IR receiver to move around in Kodi and attached a couple of Xbox Bluetooth controllers for gaming. I boosted my set up by moving my Kodi database on to my server with mySQL so that the librelec’s running in the bedrooms all share the same database but that’s a fancy touch that took a hour or so of set up that you don’t need to do.

I’m a huge Rudd fan but you have to admit he wasn’t progressive. The man ran on a technocrat platform and was just as in favour of the status quo’s policies as Gillard. He wasn’t exactly a Burnie firebrand
