yeah, I just go directly to subreddits. I can’t access anything. heck, I was on a specific post last night, then refreshed the tab to a login screen.

if you can afford a paid option, I’ve heard good things about Kagi. It basically uses several backends (including google) but cuts out the ad junk. And it reportedly tends to give you better results, or at least less sponsored crap.

It’s something I wanted to try out more once I can get a dang job.

Google had a special deal to scrape Reddit’s data right? That might carve out some special exceptions.

BTW, hello. I tried the fediverse out around 2022 through kbin (which seems to be dead?) then drifted off. Haven’t had a reddit account since 2023 (and my mains were deleted around 2020), but I swore I’d force myself off Reddit when old.reddit. I guess that time is now.
