Ha! I have a Framework 13 from their first run. It’s my only real gripe with it. Downward firing speakers are dumb on a laptop.
Why are you reading this? Go do something worthwhile.

I have both and run them side by side through Docker in UNRaid, but Jellyfin hardly ever gets used unless there is a problem with Plex and I don’t feel like fixing it immediately. I’ve had the Plex lifetime pass for forever.
I have young kids and really like Plex’s system for moderating content for their accounts. I’ve never explored this on Jellyfin though. As a person with crappy laptop speakers, subtitles are important to me. Plex does subtitles better than Jellyfin in my experience.

PSALM 140
1 Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, 2 Who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war. 3 They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah
4 Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble. 5 The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me. Selah
6 I said to the Lord: “You are my God; Hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord. 7 O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have [a]covered my head in the day of battle. 8 Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; Do not further his wicked scheme, Lest they be exalted. Selah
9 “As for the head of those who surround me, Let the evil of their lips cover them; 10 Let burning coals fall upon them; Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, that they rise not up again. 11 Let not a slanderer be established in the earth; Let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him.”
12 I know that the Lord will maintain The cause of the afflicted, And justice for the poor. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence
Sounds like the opposite might be true, and it’s OK to pray for the death of evil men.

Co-opting alpine divorce, which regularly involves a murder attempt, feels weird? Just call it the sierra split.
I do wonder how much of this is a cheapening of the weekend getaway, where you’d go to a B&B upstate, find out your potential partner snores, drinks to much, is rude to service workers, or views a toothbrush as optional. You’d sigh and split. It’s just a bad weekend.
But with this, camping and hiking is a complication. You’re drinking warm filtered water from a Nalgene, eating granola because someone forgot to bring a lighter. Also, it’s raining and all your socks are wet. Did you bring anything to wash dishes? Ah, there are no dishes. You smell like smoke and are covered in sand.
Granted, you can do camping/hiking well, but I’d bet some of these cases are from people doing it poorly, trying to save a buck by avoiding more expensive weekend getaways.

If you don’t give me what I want, I’ll make the American people pay me more to buy your stuff.
OK.

Trump is willing to resort to force and violence to get the things he wants. I wonder why he was friends with Jeffrey Epstien.
The US needs Greenland to defend it from Russia and China.
Greenland is in NATO, allowing the US to defend it from Russia and China.

Because Maduro was a pariah, same as Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. Obviously, it’s not about liberating the Venezuelan people. The US isn’t even pretending this time. It’s about oil and getting rich.
If you shoot a rat with a shotgun, yeah, maybe don’t do that, but thanks for killing the rat. If you shoot a dog with a shotgun, that’s pretty monstrous. As long as Trump takes out the worst folks, he’ll get away with it.

I don’t know, it makes a lot of sense, in an asinine way. Many people are self-centered and incredibly selfish. Of course we all benefit from living in a world where children are happy, fed, cared for, and well adjusted. But for folks without kids, it’s usually indirect, rather than direct benefits, making it harder to quantify.
But, their property taxes that fund schools are easy to quantify, so the selfish get grumpy about it.
It’s like not wanting your tax dollars to fund cancer research, because you don’t have cancer. It makes no sense, until you remember the person talking is a selfish dunce.

I think it’s that #believeallwomen is a hard hill to die on. Any internet troll is a Google search away from proof that you shouldn’t blindly believe all women. It just reminds me of when Joe Biden had some allegations against him, and he got caught between a rock and a hard place: believe all women, just not this one.
Instead of belief, it’s about respect. Whether true or not, any accusation should be taken seriously and avoid sensationalism. It’s also about understanding your role. It’s easy for me to say all of this about a situation thousands of miles away; I have an infinitely small role. If it happens closer to home, to someone you know, belief may be a part of that role, but it still needs to come from a place of respect and understand of the situation. If religion is any example, blind belief doesn’t help anything but fuel division.

TSMC is Taiwan’s nuclear deterrent. Asking them to move half their production to the USA is an obvious no.
Ukraine has spent the past 3 years demonstrating what can happen if you give up your nuclear deterrent for a paper guarantee when you have a hungry neighbor who thinks your land is theirs.

TSMC is Taiwan’s nuke.
Global politics for the past 80 years has been busy teaching folks what happens to you without mutually assured destruction.

Trump’s getting crafty here. All these comparisons between him and Hitler, so he changes it up and plays Neville Chamberlain instead.

It’s an oversimplification, but it’s like an older brother and a younger brother sharing a room. They hate each other. They’re always messing with each other’s stuff. The older brother knows better, but he’s angry and tends to be abusive. The younger brother knows he shouldn’t pick a fight, but can’t help himself. They’ve both been fighting so long that each feels justified in hurting the other.
Who’s at fault is the wrong question. Is it the 7 year old? He’s 7. Is it the 12 year old? He’s a kid too, just bigger and stronger. Both lack the maturity and empathy to be in charge and have the run of things. They’ve both proven they’re entirely incapable of being fair or kind to each other.
It’s the parents’ fault for letting it happen. Or in this case, enabling both kids and giving them tips and tricks for how to fight better.
We can’t expects Israel or Palestine to be the adults in the room. They aren’t. They can’t. We can’t expect ourselves to be the adults in the room. We’re watching these kids beat themselves bloody for our amusement.
Until someone puts their foot down and says enough is enough, nothing will change, but the person who says that and lays down their weapons probably gets killed. So this won’t end until one side exterminates the other.
The movies are so overhyped and overrated at this point. But Monty Python’s Flying Circus is not, it’s fantastic.

You seem to be mentioning right wing grifters a lot in this thread. What exactly do they do that upsets you so badly?

Russia is like a bank robber with a bazooka to your head. Yeah, their home life is shit, but they’re still holding you hostage, and they have a lot less to lose than you do.
Man, this new focus tree is weird. Didn’t realize you could just skip Anschluss with Austria Canada and go straight to annexing Sudetenland Greenland.

This is the answer.
For many people who don’t understand technology, the solution isn’t more technology. Is a password notebook technically less secure? Yes. But it’s much better and more understandable than what she really wants, which is the same username and password for everything.
Plus, a notebook is great way to pass information that’s not just usernames and password. It’s in invaluable resource in case of death. Digital is great, but physical copies are important.
When I used to work with kids, if they wanted to know how long it would be until something, and they wouldn’t take “I don’t know” as an answer, I always said 15 minutes. Short enough that they’d stop asking, but long enough that they would go off, do something else, and forget about it.
2 weeks folks.
