They’re pretty good.
Canada also makes a lot of wine ourselves.
Award winning wine, even.

If you’ve got nobody to vote for, I can’t blame you for not voting
Not letting them off the hook that easily.
They could still vote against an obviously horrible candidate.

we desperately need the whole world to boycott us to save us from the orange chomo-in-chief
The rest of the world will do what we can to protect ourselves from your country’s government, but it’s up to American citizens to do the hard work of fixing their own damn country.

Some of California votes consistently Republican.
38% of California, in the last election. Mostly in rural areas.

Canada’s boycott of U.S. wines ‘causing devastating harm,’
That’s the point, dumbass.
If you want it to stop, talk to the clown in the white house.
This boycott wouldn’t be happening if he didn’t decide to threaten, insult and attack Canada.

You need to cut demand. If the price goes up
Prices going up does help cut demand.
Back in the '70s when oil prices spiked, people started buying more fuel efficient cars, and drove less.
Today, after the Hormuz related price increases, demand for EVs has abruptly increased.
If the price of oil continues to increase, that trend will also continue.

This doesn’t have to be an either/or situation.

If only there had been a way to prevent all of this…

Interesting that it’s Israel breaking it
Not very surprising, though.
They already said that they didn’t approve of this latest agreement.

For those of us who aren’t US taxpayers, we can avoid giving our money to those who are US taxpayers.

I don’t get it either, but it was also a big problem on Reddit for years.

European carmakers have dozens of EV models on the market, and they are dominating the EU market
Yet the north American manufacturers have (at best) only 1 or 2 models of EV available, and those are priced in their luxury range, then they complain that nobody wants to buy EVs, so they double down on massive SUVs and unnecessary pickups.

In my experience, the best we can do is change the bus schedules so you have to walk further to a bus stop and wait longer for a bus that never arrives at the scheduled time…

The world’s car makers struggled to compete with Japan back in the '70s, but I would argue that struggle gave people access to better vehicles.
Turned out the winning move was to make affordable cars that were fuel efficient to operate and people would rush to buy them.

vapes need to have a major crackdown
no more ads
no more sugary flavours
As a first step, ban disposable vapes.
There is literal tons of electronics and lithium batteries getting thrown in the trash because of that bullshit.

Trump would be pressured to agree.
I don’t share your optimism.
Unless he thinks it is a good deal for him personally, and that it was his idea all along, he is unlikely to agree.
And even if he agrees, history tells us that he won’t necessarily stick to that agreement.

But the war affects Europe and the world
Yes , but if they could get an agreement from Iran, there is no expectation that Trump or Netanyahu would agree to it.
Or if they said they agreed, no expectation that they wouldn’t break it within a week’s time. Again.

Sending someone to a country other than their country of origin isn’t deporting, it’s expelling.

I hate that Tesla has become the go-to brand when people think “electric vehicle”.
Even though there aren’t many options in North America, those options are better cars in so many ways.
Maybe the future of warfare is to figure out a better way for people to settle their differences.
That would, of course, mean we would first have to figure out how to prevent narcissistic megalomaniacs from being in positions of power.
