The US, China, Russia and more all have the capability to reach out and touch a data center in orbit. Further, such a facility wont last long without regular and extensive ground based support, which will very much be in someone’s jurisdiction. Finally, if a mega corp cant even get one government somewhere on Earth to let them operate a single micro data center without interference then they hardly have the pull required to make a play at world domination.

It would be so much easier, cheaper and more practical to just retrofit a cargo ship and float it in international waters…or pick a jurisdiction on land that doesnt give a shit as long as you pay them.

Many of the people claiming to be too liberal for the dems online were not really people, or at least not eligible US voters. They choose whichever perspective is most destabilizing at the moment and push that, sometimes switching accounts and sometimes not even bothering to do that. Theyll jump from Bernie to Trump to Stein and back to Trump without a second thought because they do not actually believe in the positions they are backing, only the chaos they can cause. Some of these people are unaffiliated trolls, some are self organized volunteers, some are paid call center workers and some are bots.

The problem is I dont think many of the accounts really care if their total account activity appears organic. They are mostly there to create volume, sometimes to puff up activity metrics, to amplify specific points and narratives, or simply to shut down conversation if it strays into the wrong topic. They know Reddit doesnt actually want to stop them, and the individual accounts rarely say anything interesting enough to justify human users taking the time to evaluate their post history.
