Is anyone else just not feeling the Olympics this year?

I’m not a sports person and don’t have a whole lot of national pride on a good day, but I’ve liked watching the Olympics since I was a kid.

I enjoy seeing people from all over the world with such outstanding abilities, experiencing the aesthetics of people from different places, and rooting for the underdogs.

This year, I’m just embarrassed of America. I hate seeing the rise of right wing ideology worldwide. I miss and worry about my former co-workers in Ukraine. There’s constant pain, suffering, and death in Palestine and the middle east.

I don’t know…it should be a bit of an escape, but the whole thing is bumming me out this year.

I see this argument that he’s waiting for some excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act or impose martial law, but he’s already lawless…he doesn’t need an excuse as he’ll just do it anyway. Just like kidnapping the head of state in a foreign country, blatantly flaunting his corruption at every turn, targeting states that don’t bow to his whims. Even when those actions end up in court, they keep on doing their bullshit regardless (ignoring that he’s already bought the supreme Court anyways).

Bandcamp is great, but man trying to keep track of what’s happening there is a chore. I really wish artist store pages would give an insight as to what’s already in my library, already on my wishlist or what might be marked down for a sale or pay what you want.

Why? Will there be moments of silence for anyone else who died by gun violence last week? I guarantee there won’t be a moment of silence in America for any Lithuanian’s killed by gun violence. Stop with the performative nonsense.

Trump has been trash since the 1980s. He was a garbage president in 2016. If you “fell for it” in 2020 and/or 2024, you’re dumber than dirt.
