They may not solely represent a religion but they definitely represent it. Mormons also represent a part of a religion. As do crusaders. And the Klan. And people who circumcise women. And the child rapists in the Catholic church.

You don’t get to claim only nice things are representative and bad things aren’t as if religion as a power structure isn’t the core problem in and of itself.

I think Israel is still worse in this instance.

Some people have this bizarre idea (I blame video games of course since this is a phenomena that is newer than 1980) that violence is actually fun and not horrifying in a way that will haunt you for the rest of your life. These people believe in the concept of honor and good old boys sharing a cig on Christmas day in an impromptu relief from the shelling and gassing.

Putin isn’t one of these people, he’s a psycho and doesn’t care at all.

That having been said it’s not clear to me at least which is worse.

I think it’s great because I am pro privacy. Luigi had to leave on a bike because of the surveillance state and still got caught. The more we make their tracking systems useless the better.
