This reads just like the news we had of antiwar protesters in russia a few years ago. Except you know, it’s the uk this time.

Finally, a sane fuckin approach to the tarriff madness. But it’s probably due to them exporting to the US a lot less than what they’re importing.
On another note, I really hate that trump’s buffoonery is helping brics. They used to be just a bunch of greedy autocrats but now this asshole is giving them common ground to stand on.

They did. It wasn’t quite as good ( awful UI iirc ), but still a decent game. You can get it on gog too

Omg, my favorite civ!

I’ve seen way too many couples (married or otherwise) that influence each other to vote Trump and other populists to believe that you can single out loneliness as a main cause of the rise of the far right. Lonely single males are on the rise, sure, and it’s a problem that needs dealing, but i’d wager most of those 3 million new single people are mostly old folk, since Germany’s populatin has been aging rapidly in the past decades.

Oh, I see we moved on to the “too late to do anything about it now” phase already

Used to hear that spacex has been successful in spite of his meddling, not because of it.
I do wonder if he started taking the reins with Starship, because it sure seems to be giving them a really hard time.

Propaganda or not, I really hope poland does not soften their anti-russian attitude, else we’ll be proper fucked in eastern europe

On the plus side, at least he’s just as rusophobic and willing to arm-up as the other candidates, right? Right?
Incompetent incumbent administration + russian propaganda + a lot of angry angry people after the cancelling of the first set of elections.
The funny thing is, we’re still quite rusophobic. You’ll find few people that approve of russia or putin. Russian talking points and propaganda however, that we gobble by the bucket.
Wtf kind of lazy attempt to normalize nuclear war is this, uk??? Jesus tapdancing christ

Damn antisemites are everywhere!

The “sovereignists” had about 30% of the parliament already, but I imagine it was the decision to cancel the first set of elections that tipped the scales. Heard of plenty of people that decided to vote Simion out of sheer spite after that stunt.

About as fair as you can hope for in this country, I suppose. I imagine the large parties pulled all the stops and still couldn’t grab more than 20%. And I know they didn’t covertly support Simion (yet) because last night they were pissed.

He’ll probably sit on 40% of the votes by the end of the count. It’s pretty fuckin grim.

I’d be tempted to say this is good news, but I bet it’ll end up being just another tax on poor nations.
Edit: amusing how these days “all major nations” does not include US anymore

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, this pretty much confirms that the leading parties have been colluding to manipulate elections. The ideal situation would have been him getting his ass whoopped by being voted out. On the other, there was a non-zero chance that he might actually have won.
Either way, the shitshow is not even close to being over. These parties make up 32% of our current parliament, and they’re likely to grow after this stunt, so we’ll have to deal with this crap again during the next election cycle, or sooner.

This is so sad. I thought the whole paper mail infrastructure was essentially eternal due to its importance.
Letter numbers have fallen since the start of the century from 1.4 billion to 110 million last year.
110 million is still A LOT of paper letters. Shame the service will be gone.
PostNord has weathered years of financial struggles and last year was running a deficit.
Again, I thought this was a national strategic resource, regardless of profit. Over here in europe’s armpit the national post has been running at a loss for nigh on 40 years, and it’s still kept afloat, for better or worse.
Man, imagine the paranoia. You literally have a russian puppet for president, but are worried about infiltrations by communist spies from Cuba.
