My kids all use Linux, there’s not a Windows machine in the house.

I have it running on an old Dell quadcore workstation with 16gb of memory, alongside around 30 other Docker services including a full Servarr stack, and haven’t noticed any issues with it.

With default settings it still fetches southparkuncensored.com for me. It might query those engines, but it also queries other ones by default as well.

the problem lies in that many apps made for productivity are not made with small screens in mind. can it be done? yes, just as it can on any other PC. is the QoL on a steam deck for productivity as good as on a desktop or laptop?

most assuredly not.

the steam deck is great for gaming, and gets really good battery life with many 2d games, but I would not consider it all that useful for any sort of productivity tasks. I would go with an actual laptop for that sort of stuff.

be advised that if you’re doing dev work on Bazzite, you might have to make use of a distrobox depending on the software you use. for example, VSCode is available as a Flatpak, but if you want to use other things with it like NPM, you’ll have much less headache trying to get it to work by installing it in a distrobox.

Why use Caddy at all then? Tailscale would work just as well, with the added bonus that you could access it outside your LAN without exposing it to the clearnet.
