If your goal is retribution, vengeance, pain or suffering then it is not a just or moral stance. The entire point in a rule of law is threat reduction and risk mitigation, to enable a prosperous & just society FOR EVERYONE. It is everyone’s duty to oppose unjust laws, and the systems that enable and protect them; especially predators of the weak and vulnerable (e.g. pedophiles).
