There are better ways to devalue your currency. It’s not such an uncommon thing for countries to do. Why go out of your way to be a dick? This new type of behavior we are observing from US officials just smacks of sheer incompetency and lack of direction on the diplomatic stage.

My feeling as today’s designated Arm Chair General is: he’ll invade Greenland before Easter, then wage a 3-front war on Canada. Plus pulling the plug from Canada’s internet, cloud services etc., and of course ramping up the trade war, blockading their harbors etc.
Then, US forces will blockade the Mediterranean, using Israel as their stronghold, and relieve what’s left of Russia’s Black Sea fleet. The US plan for Europe is to get the Blue Banana and especially ASML under their control. What Russia will get, I don’t know.
Despite all the hope-against-hope rhetoric that routinely comes up in these threads, none of this going to be a problem. In fact, I’m willing to bet money that there will be a completely new world order before Christmas.
And then the stripping of citizen’s rights and the cleansing of “unwanted elements” will start.

Change the system from within.

Denmark thought so, too. And of course Hungary still thinks it. When everybody thinks they will get special treatment from the US, internal cohesion suffers, as evidenced by this “summit” bullshit.

Lemmings and even more so Redditors are still clinging to the sham of “objective” platforms playing by some sort of physical rules and clean, unbiased algorithms in the face of multiple daily threads on social media that are very obviously being brigaded and capsized, for much more than 10 years at this point.

Agreed. I hope it doesn’t take Europe until the Mediterranean is blocked off by US warships to understand the US is neither a friend, nor neutral, in this. “Trade” just doesn’t cut it for them anymore, they are going for the land grab.

I’m almost expecting Trump to come out of the “special meetings” with Putin with the result that unlike Ukraine, Russia agreed to pay up, so the US will now deliver weapons to Russia and, of course, drop all sanctions.

Unless, of course, the US exits NATO. At this point, everybody would be better of without them.
