Yesterday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum.
Prime Minister Trudeau and President Sheinbaum discussed the deep people-to-people ties, the strong trade and investment relationship between Canada and Mexico, and the importance of preserving North American competitiveness and prosperity. They spoke about the imposition of U.S. tariffs on both countries, as well as their respective efforts to enhance border security and combat the production and distribution of illegal drugs. The leaders agreed to continue working together in areas of common interest and to enhance the strong bilateral relations between Canada and Mexico.
Prime Minister Trudeau and President Sheinbaum agreed to remain in close contact.
The Westons and Waltons of the world are cackling about this right now, guaranteed.

O weird… Across every platform, I kept reading this would never happen and was just a distraction from some other terrible thing - or if it did happen it’d be our fault for paying attention in the first place (and Daddy drinks because you cry) - and here we are again. Murka doing exactly what they threatened to do.
Looking forward to Trudeau’s response at 6. And the fuck Trudeau brigade can get bent.
[edit bc nobody needs more allcaps]

No offense, but your question is really confusing. I don’t understand what her resignation has to do with the former supply-and-confidence agreement the Liberals had with the NDP.
ftr - There was never a coalition government and the NDP ended the supply-and-confidence agreement in September.
The right wing in North America flooded news stories and social media spaces with the talking point that the NDP and Liberals working together to accomplish government-related work was a “coalition government” (which they framed as a horrible undemocratic thing), but the NDP-Liberal supply-and-confidence agreement was in place to get Canadians the beginnings of dental care, affordable housing funding for municipalities, daycare, sick days for federally-regulated workplaces, etc.
