I have mast cell issues, so a bit similar. I still get the occasional food flare up, but just giving my guts a break works wonders.

I intermittent fast the majority of days and have done so for nearly the last decade. I have a chronic illness that affects my GI tract, among other things, and it helps a lot.
Not getting hangry is a huge perk. Once my flight got stuck for hours in a small town airport with no food nearby. I was watching people get so weird about not eating for a few hours, but I was able to just be okay.

I sometimes enjoy white chocolate, but admit it’s only a slight step above eating straight butter and sugar.

Then you won’t believe this: it’s the Phil McGraw School of Medicine at RFK Jr. University. The dean is Dr. Mehmet Oz.

I don’t know what your issues today or in general are, but don’t take them out on me. That you had to make so many assumptions about me to air your many assumptive grievances should be your hint that I’m not your problem.

I got a laugh out of that “baby thought” jab. I’ve lived where it wasn’t safe to walk by the roads during winter, much less cycle there. With no bike lane or even a road shoulder to speak of and a foot or more of snow, you end up with two choices: cycle in a snow bank or hope traffic isn’t coming when you end up horizontal in the road.

It’s good science to challenge assumptions or previously accepted findings.
Usually these studies examine multiple factors for whatever context, then draw an overall conclusion based on the cumulative findings. This is then simplified by media, which then gets a bunch of “well duh” comments by people who don’t read the news article or the research report.

Not my circus or my monkeys, but I can’t sleep so I did some cursory searching. I did undergrad research that was heavy into wastewater treatment, so this did sound a bit unlikely.
I found the biological secondary is pretty extensive and is being well utilized for energy generation, so the resultant level of treatment makes more sense. It looks like the claim is closer to “you could drink it if you wanted to, but don’t”.

You’re not a mean cow at all! As someone that’s about to start therapy with a spouse with a similar issue, you just handed me the beginning of the proverbial thread I need to start pulling on. So serendipitous!

I keep trying to point this out to my mother, who keeps overreacting to one news story after another. She agrees in the moment that it’s all theater, then goes right back to being outraged by every obvious bait story.

Did you eat it? Because they’re delicious.

I really hope they make a Croque Monsieur with this pig.

Same! Mine have a passthrough mode that pumps through what the microphone picks up but lets you select how much. I leave a little on because I feel weird if I can’t hear what’s happening in my surroundings.
It claims to have 18k users. I didn’t see their criteria for “active”, though.
That’s why I like Blahaj - no downvotes to silence dissent or minority voices.
It wasn’t uncommon on Reddit for me to ask an entirely on-topic question that I could not find being asked before and to get downvoted to oblivion. I later found I could delete these and repost verbatim a few hours or even days later and they’d often receive a positive response. The single biggest predictor of whether or not a neutral comment was inexplicably dogpiled upon was the first two votes. If it dipped to -1, it was typically done for.

And US society reinforces that behavior by shaming men for being vulnerable or showing weakness and teaching others that a crying or otherwise emotionally vulnerable man is something deserving of shame and contempt.
A great example is online advice articles about handling relationship issues: so much advises that stoicism is the only option, otherwise your girlfriend/wife will lose their respect and attraction for you.
I had an ex-girlfriend mock me for crying during our breakup and know many men who have encountered similar shaming treatment from other men and women. It’s brutal.

They do: you! Run for local office and help infuse some vitality back into a tired, corrupt political system.

My dad’s go to from the 1980s all the way up to his death in the 2020s was “fuckme42069” . He was an OG Neckbeard.

Great response, very well written!
Not this one. This is intended for 3D content creators, who won’t be concerned about the increased latency from the dual CCD memory locations.
