Jew got used a lot in my area in a similar way. It’s horrible looking back and it got used in a lot of ways, one of the weirder uses was in football/soccer, where doing a sideways pass to a teammate for an easy goal was called ‘jew-ing it’.

You make a very good point actually, I suppose I hadn’t even asked myself whether manipulation itself is inherently, objectively wrong. If I manipulate a rich bastard into sending food to Palestine, it wouldn’t exactly be bad would it.

There’s a lot of gross ads out there though, at the very least they need stricter regulation on what they can show and say unless it’s a product for the betterment of humanity, but I guess what is good and not would be hard to accurately categorise. Fuck ads that are for selling you things you really don’t need, especially when they use dishonest ways to, and even moreso when it’s fuelling an addiction like gambling.
