My dryer only has a low and a high setting and the length of time is human dictated.
I dry clean any really good clothing I own.
If I dry my clothes on high they are shrunk and sometimes ruined in other ways too.
Almost everything I own can survive the low setting with no noticeable negatives.

Yes - but it is meant to be deliberately backwards as a check and a balance. The idea is that if every law was made and passed by the currently elected politicians only then there’d be a flood of kneejerk reactionary populist laws only. The idea is to have some people with an eye to the bigger picture…
I’ve used Linux Mint for about ten years. I’ve used terminal once - only because that specific laptop had some trackpad or WiFi (can’t remember which) issue. I just typed in a few lines and that was it.

I speak a bit of Spain Spanish, but with an Andalusian / Canary Island accent and grammar. The biggest problem you’ll probably find is that exactly the same word can have different meanings in different parts of the world.
I also speak some French, poorly. No idea with what accent.
I personally would not hesitate to recommend the Michel Thomas language courses. I learned more in twelve hours then I did in three years at school.

So, yeah, car centric cities are both terrible and insane - but not every city in the world is that way; thankfully.

I thought this was gonna be a deep philosophical question… but then read past the first sentence.
I’d suggest “good” nationalism is having a bit of pride and care for where you live, a knowledge of your history, feeling comfortable in your ethnicity (as opposed to race) and welcoming other folk with similar aspirations and trying to improve life for everyone in your area… but that’s just my opinion.
The loss of openness, the limiting of education and work opportunities, the rise of bad nationalism, the fracturing of European unity and community, the isolation of being stuck between the EU and the US, the inability to pop over to France for lunch or Germany for a football game, the loss of stature in an evolving world, the backwards steps to being more insular… I don’t know. All these things and more “may” come to pass.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
