I wouldn’t know, I don’t really pay any attention Apple products, but “naming that appears to be chosen by a 5 year old” sounds like it would be up their alley.

Blergh, who wants a big square screen like a psychopath?! They should have made the laptop a smaller square and then have the screen expand out the sides to get to 1440p
