I have seen way, way more calls of direct violence and inciting violence here in the last few months on Lemmy than I ever saw in multiple years on Reddit.

What communities are you talking about? I’m subscribed to many dozens here, and I can’t remember ever seeing calls for violence in the Lemmysphere.
