When I fully switched 2 years ago, I thought I’d try doing all my gaming in Linux and was really anxious wondering which and how many games I wouldn’t be able to play. Imagine my surprise when all of them ran. I haven’t found a single game I couldn’t get running. Hell, I even beat one I couldn’t get running in Windows! That being said there’s a bug preventing VR from working that I’m a little sad about. Apparently Steam only supports Ubuntu, I use Endeavour.
I stopped listening to this nazi long ago because he doesn’t know anything about anything, including about himself.
Prisons can’t break your laws if they’re not bound to your laws.
I use SyncMe which synchronizes smb shares to your phone. It’s great once you have it set up, but it does take a little setup. Gotta have shares and whatnot.
That’s a much classier way of calling someone a digital hoarder :)
What makes you think I didn’t already download everything I want?
This was driving me absolutely crazy until I read the last paragraph! Adding an email alias is absolutely a 30 second fix, I’m sorry you had to work with such a shitty IT department.
I did just that with Windows 7 long past its support date. All my gaming was in Windows, all my work and everything else in Linux. You can do that in 10 too and in fact it will probably become easier for you after support ends, because there will be no new Windows Updates to trash your bootloader.
Edit: Don’t run programs from ntfs drives, icky stuff can happen. Just reinstall your games in Linux when you play them there. Gaming is also really good in Linux now, I’m primarily a gamer and do it all in Linux!
