  • … You know much it costs to get a house right? You do realise that for a decent house in my neighbourhood i had to pay 160k outright and bank would pay the other half. I do not have 160k just lying around you know. And with current average income that would still take 4 years of working if you didnt spend a dime of your income.

I repeat, you are disconnected from reality

Ye no, thats not how it works. You have been too caged about how towards the rest of the country is, which is what antwerp just is. You have no idea what poor is and what the cost of living is for average paycheck IF you want to buy something like a house or car. I assume mommy and daddy helped you buy a car? Or always got a company car?
Got a house that mommy and daddy helped pay for so you could actually pay for the loan and have the capital to start the loan?

Oh, hey, and maybe youve always lived with a partner too, which also makes it very much doable since 3/4th the income is good to save to do whatever with.

  • No worries, most of us saw this coming when the asshat got to be pm. The asshat is all talk and no actions, which is why the city he is major of ( antwerp ) has such much issues with the drugs mafia after they got kicked out of rotterdam ( the netherlands ). It made his city the ship dock for european drugs cartels as its the second largest dock in the neighbourhood.

Ive hated the fucker for years, yet here we are.

The problem is he’s the leader of the nva, the centre right party and they have been shouting right shit for years. And now that the political scene in europe is getting more right with every election, he finally got to power. Instantly i saw that what expected was true: all talk, but no actions. He said for years “look at the new pm, he cant even get an agreement who gets what power. If i was in power…”

Ye, it took him nearly a year too lawl

  • You and i read different things. I hated how he worded them, but his arguments at greppable and understandable are valid arguments that go beyond rust and if he can read it or not or refuses to.
Mixing languages in a part of a project brings complexity and is often a huge ass nono because it makes things unreadable and hard to manage on a large scale.
He also argues that a c interface exists to connect 2 parts of a system. The person that changes the interface should not have to alter the users of that interface, if they do then you get intertwined dependencies, which is a huge ass red flag for developers that something has gone terrible wrong and the project is not going to scale or will be easy to change.
So if he changes the interface, the rust team will need to fix it, specially since they are the minority.
That also doesnt mean he can change it in whatever way without worry, it is an interface change, that needs discussions and approvals ahead of time ofc.

  • You seem to be in the loops of the linux kernel?
If so, ive known hector from way before when we was part of f0f, or TT as they were known before, doing wii homebrew work.
What you describe is what my experience was with him 14 years ago too. The guy is smart, he has a very good skill set and knowledge, but his communication skills were lacking back then too.
Granted, both he and myself were still teenagers and students and we were wild, but i had always assumed he grew up a bit since then…

What you said is spot on, and i hope he does read both of these. And if he does :
Marcan, you might not know who i am anymore, but ffs man. Dont screw up your love for all of these by keep kicking the hornets nests. You did it with devkitpro, emudevs when the nier news dropped and with rossman too. Stop it, its for your own good.
