I think comparing a full fleshed surveillance police state like the UK with Germany isn‘t the most upright of arguments. The UK grands much fewer personal rights and is further down the fascist pipeline I‘d say.

In a way it makes sense because as I understand it Proton emulates what Windows does natively but I‘ll wait until the new SteamOS drops with the Steam Machine. Valve seems dedicated to establish Linux as a true competitor to Windows and they‘re succeeding update by update. Other distros are benefiting tremendously from it already. Bazzite and CachyOS beat out Windows regularly in comparison tests already and they will only become more powerful with time.

I know what Germany‘s useless government is banking on. It‘s the same naive strategy they tried in 2017 and that failed spectacularly. Actually no, it‘s the same naive strategy of „let‘s sit this out while we count our money from dubious side activities“ that Christ Democrats have been championing throughout my lifetime so far.

Germany should probably consider expelling all US troops stationed in Germany in response and make a public announcement that this is being discussed at least. You can‘t just sit still when a supposedly close ally suddenly slaps the door at you.

Like everyone else the ISS is learning that Putin isn‘t a reliable partner the hard way. It‘s astonishing how reluctant we are to learn and adapt.

It was estimated 40 thousand people would show up but it‘s nearly 100k now! Insanely strong performance 💪

Oh so they‘re finally in the Reagan/Thatcher phase of desperation. A shame but hardly surprising.

Where do you think Musk got his inspiration for his SuPErApP from?

There are live pollution maps of the world if you need an idea if China does that properly but I‘ll have to warn you that you‘ll most likely be disappointed and somewhat terrified.

The thing that most people, including this article get wrong is that this isn‘t really about social media. I mean yes they organized the protest over social media and yes they are upset about a proposal (that has since been withdrawn by the way). It‘s an aspect of it but they are upset about a range things including high unemployment rates among young adults which is why they continue to burn buildings. At this rate they‘re provoking a military coup.

I‘m not sure if I would call the turmoil in Nepal pro freedom or against corruption per se. From my understanding the government simply wanted to restrict access to social media for minors which quickly prompted the fake news machine on said social media platforms to kick into full gear. Anyone above 25 years is banned to participate in the uproar and the most powerful supporter of it is a Youtuber gone politician who advocates for greater Nepal politics, which would mean breaking international law and invade neighboring countries to settle there. You know, the shit Russia and Israel do.

Raw materials are not secret technology. China is simply sitting on rare earth mines that run on human exploitation and environmental destruction like a hoarding dragon. China couldn‘t build an electric battery in line with Sweden‘s regulations with Swedish resources either.

They bought the robots from Germany, a champion of automated manufacturing. That‘s not the secret sauce here.

The technology to make them this cheap are human exploitation and massive subsidies. It’s nothing that others haven’t figured out but most lack the resources or motivation to do that and that isn’t a bad thing.

I expect them to prepare a tariff bomb on not only goods but services too that they won‘t unveil unless Trump really follows up on his threats.

Why does the largest and arguably most resourceful country on earth put an entire generation into a meat grinder for some more land and resources? Dictators have their own reason for doing things and Xi is investing heavily into the military while threatening neighboring countries. He made it very clear he plans to expand China’s borders one way or another before his reign ends.

Out of all the reasons China needs Russia to win this is the most bullshit one they could serve us. They are sided with Putin, supply him with military equipment and help him get around sanctions for oil. They need Putin’s war economy to work so they can replicate it in South East Asia obviously.

It’s what eroding the education system over decades, a pandemic, fake news and the rise of AI does to a generation.

We had that situation in 1930s Germany and it was decided to address issues instead of banning Hitler’s Party even when they could.
Political imprisonment is always bogus.
