I haven‘t been using it for that long but updates in the last few months in particular shipped head scratching features like the wallet and desktop controller. Both of which were a nuisance and should not have been enabled by default. Especially desktop controller is unusable bloatware. I had no idea why my controllers all ‚broke‘ until I found a forum post explaining it‘s KDE‘s fault.
KDE has been going into a weird (and sometimes annoying) direction recently. This explains why.

Used Windows for most of my life and iOS at work for a while. When I finally made the switch to Linux last year I was very eager to try Gnome because it looked so sleek. Almost like iOS.
But it didn‘t feel like iOS at all. It felt exactly like the Linux stereotype. Like you have to subscribe to an entirely new lifestyle and way of doing things. I‘m not ready for that. Not when other operating systems are so much more intuitive.
I ditched it quickly and have happily used KDE Plasma since. I think it‘s much closer to the UX of „conventional“ operating systems like iOS. I want to use the console for some tasks but most of the time I just want menus, thanks.
All of these companies are huge Linux users. It‘s not always malicious intend. Internet companies need Linux for the internet to function.

People know the U.S. better than almost any other country. The U.S. is very loud while China is rather quiet. And that‘s not from a lack of trying from China‘s side. It makes sense people feel stronger about someone so loud. Someone who had influenced the world so much with pop culture and politics.
Personally I still prefer the U.S. over China but that‘s a very low bar. As a European I want to be more independent from both.
His presidency perfectly summarized. He‘s a mean bully that destroys things but if you give him your lunchbox and make some flattering remarks he‘ll be a little less shitty to you, personally. Rinse and repeat until the country he runs is no more.
Guess I‘ll hold off watching news and quietly enjoy the little pre WW3 peace time I have.
This is the correct model. America developed very similarly, unlike parts of Eurasia which is why Europe and Asia are definitely culturally distinct, but America isn‘t. At least not for a lot of us.
