If I can’t pay my taxes with it, it isn’t a real currency.
If I can’t pay my taxes with it, it isn’t a real currency.
It’s heartbreaking, really.
The UK is like a kid who just got his face covered in mud by bullies, and goes “aren’t my friends wonderful for playing with me?”.
This is the important part.
The whole world suffered trump’s first term as a sort of scam that many confused, struggling Americans fell for.
But then y’all go and do it a second time? Fuck you.
Canada and the EU should definitely bait trump into escalating tariffs as quickly as possible, and reach agreements to increase trade between themselves.
If trump continues to escalate and retaliate, Mexico and even China need to be included in the agreement.
This will have huge consequences for America, effectively excluding it from worldwide trade, while diluting the impact for the remaining nations.
America has a huge production capacity though, and that’s why escalation needs to happen quickly, not giving it time to ramp up subsidized domestic production.
I’m an atheist and this is one of my favourite hobbies! I could usually find a few on Sundays close to vulnerable people hotspots - churches, hospitals - and all it took was a glance at their magazine stand for them to strike up a conversation.
So far, I’ve found they’re ill equipped at proving the existence of a god, let alone their specific brand. Some were actually impressed with a detailed theory of evolution, and may or may not have started to reassess their view of the world.
I really love some good faith arguing in the morning…
Destroyed cars?
The damage included “deep scratches and punctured tires.”
From the article. A quick polish and a time swap and they’re as good as new.
The damage included “deep scratches and punctured tires.”
Probably about the same as any other car.
Edit:
a 2015 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) study found that the Tesla Model S had higher claim frequencies, severities and overall losses than comparable large luxury cars. The higher claim severity was thought to be attributed to the car’s battery replacement cost — a whopping $16,000.
So teslas insurance has always been more expensive, and this sure isn’t going to help.
If the EU comes out stronger, it will probably backfire big time.
Especially in a scenario where America survives trump and a new president then works to re-establish EU-US links, the block would have gotten much stronger as a whole.
Since when did travel to the US become worse than to Russia? This is shocking…
Could you enlighten us uncultured people?
In the meantime, related:
Isn’t Martyr Paste the stuff that brought down the WTC? If they keep making more and more of it, it’s inevitably going to end up on their faces.
A puppet is as strong as the hand controlling it.
From you, and from anyone who says we don’t need defenses.
“Why the hell does Ukraine need nukes?”
You in 1994, presumably.
That’s all well and good, but you’re also missing a critical point.
The European Union is very likely to introduce a bill that will massively subsidize purchases of local (EU) military equipment. This will make all EU alternatives much, much more attractive than F-35s.
This is a great move by the EU - it drives a lot of military spending away from the US and into the local economies, while shoring up its own security as well as preventing being at the hands of a fickle fascist for maintenance and upgrades.
Interview here, in Portuguese.
The world has already changed. There were elections in the USA, there was a position [change] regarding NATO and the world, stated by both the Defense Secretary and the President of the USA, that has to be taken into account in Europe and in Portugal.
Our ally, who through decades has always been predictable [as in steadfast], may bring limitations to using, to maintaining, to components, anything that relates to the assurance that the planes are operational and can be used in all types of scenarios.
For some context, Portugal has an aging fleet of F-16s. The national Air Force wants to replace these with F-35s, but that is no longer likely to happen.
He was asked if Portugal would instead purchase, for example, French aircraft, but he declined to answer.
Can you ship moose ribs to Europe? Never had them, but seems like something I’d enjoy.
Yeah the world’s doing its part, but it’d be nice if Americans did theirs.
Other than Bernie Sanders, the rest sure like to bitch a lot, but actions speak louder and they’re not getting out of their couches…
