When did they opt-in the fiat currency, exactly?

what other option did they have?

And, most importantly, what was the last product (other than fiat) you bought with crypto?

Stop burning our planet, billionaire wannabe.

You’re asking what other option they had out of one side of your mouth, while criticizing that option out the other side.

Why is my pizza place anecdotally accepting crypto important? If my answer was supposed to be “nothing [I just don’t want it seized because I was born in an imperialist oligarchy too]”, what was going to be your response?

Since you’re not offering an alternative yourself, it sounds like you’re suggesting they stay on the Ruble. Which hurts the environment even more (encourages consumption) and worsens inequality even more (Cantillon effect).

If you do have a better option, then I’d like to hear that!

Fair. That pizza place is really special, as you may know.

        Sure, I got carried away.

But my first question was the most “relevant”. Your claim, as an opt-in is far from what this is. The economy is ongoing in a way such that using other currencies (crypto, yuan, euro, whatever) is not much of an option. That’s what I meant to point out. I didn’t like the “tone” from where you were writing…

Anyway, back to the assets, these are mainly dollars from big russian companies that were in banks abroad. If I’m not mistaken… it’s far from the rubles of layman persons and common population.

It is pretty awesome. They have a discount and accept Lightning, both of which should be common but aren’t. But again that’s super anecdotal evidence because I live in a major city and looked for them.

Crypto in Russia kinda is still an option, they’re #7 globally. But I apologize for my tone, it’s easy to say which choice was better in hindsight.
