A passerby discovered the documents spilling from a black bin bag on March 16. Some documents were marked “official – sensitive,” indicating potential moderate damage if disclosed.
The papers have been handed to Northumbria police, and the MoD is examining the security breach.
Representatives for the US team attempted to deny the allegation but, while searching for the press briefing room, were tragically lost in an industrial laundromat’s brief pressing room.
