There isn’t a golf course at Mar-a-Lago. The course is a few miles south and in West Palm (hilariously in a fairly rough part of town). But there’s way more green there than I remembered. But I’m guessing they don’t want guests to look out a window and see a missile battery on the lawn lol.
I’m assuming that the the grass on the lake/intracoastal side (left hand in the photo) is parking for events and tennis. But the place is basically a dinner club. I’ve only ever been to the older clubs (used to date a girl whose family was generationally loaded and were members at the Beach, Sailfish, and Everglades clubs—none of which wouldn’t admit Trump as a member, which is why he turned Mar-a-Lago into a club in the first place). But they’re just overwrought places where the ultra rich socialize, eat, and have fancy parties.

Well I’m completely missing something then. If there’s no golf then what’s the place for?
Also, grass parking with a half empty parking lot?
It was originally built as a presidential residence.
Then Trump bought it after the US Government offloaded it and much later it’s now technically a presidential residence.

That puts some context to it.
I was imagining something entirely different.
