Like you said, they knew about people being rounded up and assumed it was for immigration/relocation not mass murder in gas Chambers and it was wilful ignorance at best - there is absolutely no debate that Israelis fully know, encourage it, support it, their politicians and soldiers share videos on social media of torture camps, they have processions calling for death, etc.
Worth seeing the NAZA documentary (not the fake one that Israel put out to mislead people).
Most Israeli civilians are active participants and even their news outlets openly report about it. Their polling shows full support for it.
