    If it was removed the second you posted it, then it’s either one of the following:

    • Your post got filtered by Reddit’s crowd control.
    • Your post got filtered by the subreddit moderator’s Automod rules.

    When this happens, the post gets sent to the moderators’ modqueue for manual review. This could either be due to your account having low or negative karma, your account is too new, or if you’re not subscribed to the subreddit. All of those are spam and troll prevention.

    If the subreddit is moderated by reasonable people and what you posted doesn’t break any of the subreddit’s rules, then your post will be approved.

      As far as I can tell it is common on Reddit for manual review of automated mod actions to just not happen. If it does happen, it’s often irrelevant anyway when it’s a day or two later and everyone has already moved on. I can’t really give numbers or evidence and this is only based on a handful of inconclusive anecdotal experiences, because Reddit moderation is deliberately opaque. Given that, people should probably be wondering what they’re trying to hide.
