I heard about exactly 2 of the actual Israeli companies on this boycott list (Sodastream and Fiverr). Most are “just” international companies with some ties to Israel, this often means supplying the IDF.
Israel does not even seem to produce that much consumer goods. 50% of their exports are computer tech, a significant part of it is cybersecurity and surveillance tech. Intel, Micron & Co. are producing some chips in Israel, although the global chip market is properly fucked anyway. Also in a case of sanctions they would probably just adjust their supply lines so the production from Israel goes somewhere else and some other country sends its production to the EU.
Another big sector is cut diamonds.
I feel like nearly no private person would even notice it if Israeli goods disappeared. Ban them now. Nothing of value is lost.
Proper sanctions would include any companies that have medium-high impact.
Obviously high impact would be a priority, and go from there, but even with just the high impact companies sanctioned, that’s a lot of products.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a good thing and will open the market up to a lot of the smaller/lesser known competitors, while stopping the general public around the world from unintentionally assisting the funding of the genocide.

Even if the sanctions include companies that supply Israel: If a company is forced to decide between trade with 10 million Israelis or 450 million EU-citizens, the EU wins every time. The companies would just stop trading with Israel and continue trade with the EU. The market is too big to lose.

The market opens up for smaller companies, or has detrimental effect on the Israeli arm of them. As an example, Israeli coca-cola company

A sanction would have little to no effect on coca-cola products outside Israel, but would damage that Israeli company.

Nestlé, a Swiss multinational, has a presence in Israel through its investment in Osem, a major Israeli food producer. This investment connects Nestlé to various local industries and markets, broadening its involvement in the region.
It would have minor effect on them, and we would be better for it.
Regardless of how little or big the overall impact would be for each company, it needs to be pushed through sooner than later, and while I hate ‘comparing’ wars, what Israel is doing to Palestine with zero consequences as much of the rest of the world is concerned, is far more devastating to them than what is happening in Ukraine, and look at the ongoing sanctions on Russia.

Intel would basically be dead in the water, Fab28A makes all their 10nm/‘7nm’ tiles and Fab28 is their frontrunner 14A fab.
Intel’s Israeli fabs have historically had the best yield too.
