Defense Minister Israel Katz said space capabilities would provide the IDF with an advantage in future conflicts as Israel seeks to become a leading space power.
From what I understand it’s only WMDs that are internationally banned from space, while obviously a rather distasteful thing to do it’s not unlawful to put conventional weapons in space. The Soviets armed some of their space stations with autocannon for example, which isn’t even the best example of their space programme making Bond villains everywhere look like complete scrubs.
