    Those numbers seem too small to motivate people. Use the cost to taxpayers - those number will scream into their heads.

      They’re using European numeral system. They’re saying exactly what you’re suggesting; the financial burden in the form of a tax.

      $20,000
      

      I do wish we used the decimal for our numerals here in the States. I like the Japanese placement of 4 orders rather than the 3-order system of the west. Less clutter.

        I don’t think Europe has a common standard.

        We write numbers like 5’000’000.00 Switzerland, Germans write 20.000,00 and Italians don’t have any money so they don’t use anything.
