Four out of five Canadians say they have no confidence in the U.S. under President Donald Trump’s leadership, with existing tensions expected to be exacerbated by latest tariffs
By “no confidence” we mean no trust. When our closest ally declares economic warfare through tariffs, threatens annexation, and blackmails the opening an international bridge, there is no trust left. Canadians are smart enough to know this won’t end after Trump is gone. It will take decades to reverse. We will develop stronger relationships with other countries, something that we should have done earlier anyway. The U.S.A. can burn their own house down - we don’t care. Just don’t try to burn ours with it.
