Because that’s how stupid your example is! I know you’re not aware, but that’s just a fact of life - you don’t get to “make the WC go away” by “not broadcasting it”, such thing doesn’t exist. A fucking local TV station of 30 people would enter a death loan just to get the rights, if no other station took them!
If the billionares who own all the media decides not to talk about the sun shining over texas you won’t see many news about it.
But PEOPLE will still see it! Just like with the Sun, you can just look yourself, with the WC - VPNs exist. People can just watch it from other countries’ broadcasts, or pirate broadcasts.

Well, here’s a surprise for you: I think Trump and Netanyahu both should be, ideally, executed by guillotine, televised. I think the vast majority of the Republican party should be placed in prison. I think the UN should create a buffer zone with “shoot to kill” orders for any fucking settler trying move two steps outside Israel’s borders, and kick all the current settlers out, barefoot, with as much as they can fit in their pockets, all the way back to Israel.
But I know that attempting to shut down the WC is impossible, because it’s just too big an event all on its own.
