I’m looking for a free tool that can delete my comments and posts only from specific subreddits. I’ve tried the following tools, but none were able to properly finish the task:
- Generally works, but I think it can’t see your entire Reddit history. After deleting a few hundred comments and posts, it stops deleting.
- I tried running it again, and it deletes another hundred or so. And then a couple more until it completely stops.
- Killed by Reddit’s recent API changes (disabled users’ ability to create new API keys)

- Doesn’t delete comments/posts. It only edits them.
- Costs money.
Does anyone here have any other suggestions? Or alternatively, does anyone know how to retrieve the Client Secret code from an existing Reddit application? I have an existing Reddit application setup on Reddit, but don’t have the Client Secret.

Got curious myself and came across your post to find out api keys aren’t given anymore. That’s a shame shreddit was great with the gdpr files.
I think power delete suite is the best option at this point, but depending on the number of comments it’ll be a slow process of having to run it every few weeks or several months to clear everything if you have thousands of comments.
I think it has to do with there being a limit to how many comments are shown on your profile. So even if you have thousands it might just show like 200 or whatever the limit is, and then after a few days or so it’ll populate it with the older 200 comments that weren’t visible before. So you’ll just have to keep running it over and over.
