I read up a bit about AIPAC, and yes, it’s true that as far as we can tell, at least since 1954, there’s no direct funding by Israel (couldn’t find a reliable source concerning the claim of clandestine direct funding of AZC by Israel, so it might never have been the case). But there’s a lot of collaboration between Israel and AIPAC. So, in a way, Israel does influences the US, but it’s entirely thanks to US citizens happy to help them. It’s not clear to me why they are happy to.
But it is true to an extent that Israel exerts influence in US politics. AIPAC funds politicians’ campaigns.
