Spirit Airlines has announced it is going out of business after 34 years. The ultra-low-cost airline known for its bright yellow planes and deep discount fares said Saturday it has started winding down operations.
Serious question: What was the entirety of his logic, destroying his skateboard? He may as well have thrown it in the trash & not bring it onto the plane at all, because it’s useless after breaking it in half.
He would have wanted to keep the trucks/wheels/bearings/etc (if you keep that stuff a new board alone would be cheaper than the fee) and it’s a lot quicker to snap the board than sit there taking it apart.
I have no idea about skateboard prices, like at all. But maybe a new board is cheaper than their fee was. You can repurpoe the wheels after all, which I imagine to be the expensive bits.
