While the president’s comments appeared partly joking, they followed concrete policy action in the form of broadened sanctions.
While the Cuban people don’t love the sanctions the reason for anti-goverment sentiment is the state apparatus not looking like doing anything to resolve the crisis but put more in the so called revolutionary defense committee and security institutions
I mean, maybe rightfully so since they’ve been threatened constantly for the past year.
And where do those threats come from? What I refer to is internal enforcement, IE concern of a threat on the Island.
