I was in a sub yesterday dedicated to pro cannabis growing.

Floraflex is a major brand and has been out of a product called

1/4 gallon quickfills since November last year.

Somehow I got banned long with every account on my IP address in my house.

I said there is a sketchy website that when they answer has a heavy middle eastern accent and they claim to be in Denver. i posted the website name and spelled dot com so they would not be able to enjoy a backlink from my post.

They are using a virtual office service so they appear they are in Denver. Floraflex contacted me today and confirmed everyone is out of stock worldwide. Yet these guys are happy to take almost $7k from me for fake stock that will never arrive. My thanks for warning other pro growers was to get a permanent ban.

I have no idea how saying a sketch site with heavy middle eastern accents is hate and enough for permanent ban of a 15 year old account.

They have really upped the game with the ban hammer lately.

I got banned for liking a comment. Multiple users here have been banned for any criticism towards ICE.

Now they have likely expanded the scope even more.

Welcome here now. No point to try to make a new user there unless you want to jump through rather annoying loops, otherwise the new user gets banned the same or shadowbanned.

This is the reason I treat Reddit as read only nowadays, just in case.

That said, here is not perfect. I have been banned from four communities on ttrpg.network for, from what I can tell, liking a plausible-looking post that turned out to be a bot.

Genuinely, the only thing I still go on The Old Place for these days is for a handful of long-running (like, years) creative writing post sequences by particular users. Literally couldn’t tell you the last time I voluntarily sought it out, outside of that very specific context.
