Hungarian voters have ousted long-serving Prime Minister Viktor Orbán after 16 years in power, rejecting the authoritarian policies and global far-right movement that he embodied in favor of a pro-European challenger in a bombshell election result with global repercussions.
Big congratulations to the people of Hungary. Hopefully this is the start of a much better chapter in their country’s history.
Let’s hope, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Orbán was already burnt, maybe they just put a new puppet (they = a country that produces vodka).
Let’s see if he actually restores democracy.
